In the Process of Vindication

Here we go.

I’ve seen much criticism and well……hate over photography and the people who have nice cameras on here.

I would just like to clarify that I do not believe I am a photographer in any way, shape, or form because I own a flashy Canon. Yes, I would like to become a photographer and possibly photojournalist when I graduate, but I don’t believe owning an expensive camera at this age makes me anything professional. Notice I used future tense there people. However, I take pictures and post what I enjoy I took on my blog. Everyone has to start somewhere, right? Yes. Most of the pictures since December 2010 on my blog are taken by me. I also understand that real photography takes experience and practice. I’ve had my Canon Rebel XS for almost 2 months and I have to learn…..well…..a lot about how the camera itself works. I haven’t even tapped into a quarter of what it can actually do. I’m learning and I will continue to learn throughout my life how to make the pictures I take, better. I’m discovering it’s much more difficult than I had originally realized and I’m excited to advance myself in the world of this profession as I go.

And yes, many people believe they are the shit for owning expensive cameras and their pictures suck and it’s annoying and you want to punch them in the face…..blah blah blah. I understand that side as well. And again, I’m not a photographer, nor do I pretend or think I am a photographer for owning a pricey camera. I fantasize about one day being one.

And that’s all I have to say about that.
